## Assign Short Name <a href="#wcylck96e9ex" id="wcylck96e9ex"></a>

You can assign a short name to the product to better recognize it within the platform.

To assign a short name, simply write it in the "Short Name" field in the product card.

{% hint style="info" %}
You can assign short names for products in bulk in the [**Bulk Upload**](https://docs.zonwizard.com/bulk-upload-profit-tool#id-51vt7s2fipgk) section.
{% endhint %}

<figure><img src="https://1934063593-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FB1lh8K0245IRSswKNrdg%2Fuploads%2FlzepRzLjmwtf9389EI0n%2Fprof_short_name.png?alt=media&#x26;token=9847b0a0-1e73-45c0-83ac-12d658c78d6e" alt="" width="375"><figcaption><p>assign short name</p></figcaption></figure>

## Assign Purchase Cost <a href="#prezuk1rfsvb" id="prezuk1rfsvb"></a>

{% hint style="warning" %}
For ZonWizard to calculate the profit margin on sales, it is necessary to indicate the unit cost associated with each product.
{% endhint %}

The software thinks in terms of stock, meaning each time a new stock of a product is purchased, you can indicate the purchase cost of the batch inclusive of all expenses required to deliver the goods to the warehouse from which they will then be shipped to the end customer.

To assign the purchase cost, click on the "Add" button on the product card.

{% hint style="info" %}
You can assign product costs in bulk in the [**Bulk Upload**](https://docs.zonwizard.com/bulk-upload-profit-tool#kmlpx7hyavkd) section.
{% endhint %}

<figure><img src="https://1934063593-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FB1lh8K0245IRSswKNrdg%2Fuploads%2Fc9rxHLIsFWawZVqaVkfK%2Fprof_cost_add.png?alt=media&#x26;token=d42547cd-f391-4c81-8938-ae0233bb0120" alt="" width="375"><figcaption><p>assign purchase cost</p></figcaption></figure>

<figure><img src="https://1934063593-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FB1lh8K0245IRSswKNrdg%2Fuploads%2FGzPQmbTTrhdEerT4yghE%2Fprof_stock_add.png?alt=media&#x26;token=ed9103ac-e7e7-4fb9-b893-928d1c5c26a4" alt="" width="233"><figcaption><p>create new stock</p></figcaption></figure>

If, on the arrival date of a new stock, there are inventories of the same product in the warehouse, it is possible to take them into account, so the unit cost will be calculated as the weighted average of the new and old stock against the incoming and remaining quantity.

Inventories can be managed in 3 ways with the **"Consider remaining stock"** selector

<figure><img src="https://1934063593-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FB1lh8K0245IRSswKNrdg%2Fuploads%2FGLVq8X75sE5epaCzJdDf%2FScreenshot%202024-04-22%20alle%2017.28.43.png?alt=media&#x26;token=54f01a16-a493-4344-a0f9-64816710d2d8" alt="" width="296"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* **No**: ignore the remainder of the previous stock
* **Auto**: let the software automatically calculate the remainder
* **Manual**: manually enter the remaining quantity of the previous batch

To assign the purchase cost, fill in the required fields and click **Create** to confirm the operation.

{% hint style="warning" %}
The stock quantity must correspond to the costs entered, as the unit cost will be calculated dividing the amounts by the quantity indicated.

For example, specifying:

**Production Cost = €1000**

**Shipping Cost = €50**

**Quantity = 100**

the software will calculate a unit cost of **€10.50/unit**.

If you want to enter the unit cost directly, you can do so, but Quantity must be specified as 1.
{% endhint %}

The unit cost of the product will then be calculated, and each unit sold will be associated with this cost.

Furthermore, if a customer returns a product and the returned product is in "sellable" condition, the unit cost will be credited back.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Product costs should be entered excluding VAT for all sellers under the ordinary tax regime. Only for sellers under the flat-rate tax regime should costs be entered including VAT.
{% endhint %}

## Modify Purchase Cost <a href="#id-6ijwjgu8s00o" id="id-6ijwjgu8s00o"></a>

The procurement costs of a product may vary over time, so if you want to modify the cost of a product, simply create a new stock indicating the costs and arrival date in the warehouse. From this date onwards, the new unit cost will be associated with each sale.

{% hint style="danger" %}
If you modify the cost of an existing stock, the profit of all sales associated with the modified stock period will be recalculated.
{% endhint %}

## Assign FBM Shipping Cost

The costs of shipping to end customers through the seller's logistics can be assigned globally for each marketplace, see [**Settings (Profit Tool)**](https://docs.zonwizard.com/profit/settings-profit-tool) section.

However, it is possible to assign a specific shipping cost for each individual product on every marketplace.

Before assigning the shipping cost, it is necessary to activate the "**Indicate FBM Shipping Costs**" option on the product detail card.

<figure><img src="https://1934063593-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FB1lh8K0245IRSswKNrdg%2Fuploads%2FRHNR52JRYA1EnFHBCtte%2Fprof_product_fbm_cost.png?alt=media&#x26;token=d33e8ea5-8fa3-4db6-9d1d-9bbc78d67703" alt="" width="563"><figcaption><p>FBM shipping costs option</p></figcaption></figure>

Once this option is activated, you can indicate the FBM shipping cost on the marketplace card.

<figure><img src="https://1934063593-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FB1lh8K0245IRSswKNrdg%2Fuploads%2FZiGR1eekLKMynVAF1SDy%2Fprof_product_fbm_cost_set.png?alt=media&#x26;token=485256cc-379a-422c-b5f6-eebaf97929f7" alt="" width="276"><figcaption><p>assign FBM shipping cost</p></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="warning" %}
FBM shipping costs should be entered excluding VAT for all sellers under the ordinary tax regime. Only for sellers under the flat-rate tax regime should costs be entered including VAT.
{% endhint %}

## Marketplace Details <a href="#id-879r9g7a0d06" id="id-879r9g7a0d06"></a>

The marketplace tab provides information on price, fees, profit, and other useful information.

<figure><img src="https://1934063593-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FB1lh8K0245IRSswKNrdg%2Fuploads%2FHLhvr82Ks3IggAT0We4n%2Fprof_product_pum.png?alt=media&#x26;token=0cb73891-c2b3-4e74-a12b-3775b6b0fcb5" alt="" width="302"><figcaption><p>marketplace detail tab</p></figcaption></figure>

1. **Link to the product listing**
2. **Logistics Type (FBA or FBM)**
3. **Amazon Logistics Program (Domestic, Pan EU, EFN)**
4. **Estimated commission alert:** when there is a yellow triangle in the tab, the commissions are estimated with a specific request to Amazon. If the triangle is not present, the commissions come from the charges detected on the last sale of the product.
5. **Active Listing (green badge) or inactive (red badge)** indicates if the product listing is currently active on that marketplace.
6. **Link to the last order:** link to view the last product order for that marketplace, not present if the commissions are estimated.

{% hint style="info" %}

* **Domestic :** Domestic shipping, simple and affordable.
* **EFN (European Fulfilment Network)** You sell in Europe but ship from a single country (e.g., Italy): easy to manage but with higher shipping costs.
* **Paneuropean (Pan-European FBA)** Amazon distributes its stock to various EU countries: fast deliveries and lower costs, but more complex tax management.
  {% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" %}
You can choose to receive a notification from Zon Wizard when ASINs lose Pan-European benefits, see Settings section (Profit tool) to set this solution
{% endhint %}

## **Profit Calculator + Update Price on Amazon**

In the product detail page, for each active marketplace, you will find the icon to access the calculator next to the current price.

<figure><img src="https://1934063593-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FB1lh8K0245IRSswKNrdg%2Fuploads%2FYPEMWHVwqB8mWZ6MG5In%2FChatGPT%20Image%2026%20giu%202025%2C%2010_28_32.png?alt=media&#x26;token=e0c84743-56ea-423b-b595-8e3b122d0b9a" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

By clicking the icon, the profit calculator screen will open, where you can:

* Enter a new product price
* Enter a new shipping price (FBM only)
* Select the fulfillment method (FBA only)
* **See real-time changes in fees and estimated profit**

This way, you can compare your current margins with those resulting from the new price you’ve set.

<figure><img src="https://1934063593-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FB1lh8K0245IRSswKNrdg%2Fuploads%2F0ntK3TnJ0c0vuIOJM7Lw%2FChatGPT%20Image%2014%20lug%202025%2C%2016_36_40.png?alt=media&#x26;token=9aa8cc3c-7594-4cae-8715-6ffe32fad0cb" alt="" width="563"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

You can also **apply the new price to the listing on Amazon**, directly from ZonWizard with one click.

{% hint style="info" %}
The changes will be reflected on Amazon within a few minutes.
{% endhint %}

<figure><img src="https://1934063593-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FB1lh8K0245IRSswKNrdg%2Fuploads%2FPb0DoVAfDbTdcvnaIP1p%2F928f2d9c-ffb6-4f19-be1f-dafc523b3094.png?alt=media&#x26;token=c8769f61-e78a-48e3-aab2-216eb7815f71" alt="" width="375"><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="info" %}
If you use FBA, you can also simulate changing the fulfillment method and see how your metrics vary.

📦 **Domestic**:\
Assumes that inventory is available in the same country as the marketplace.

📦 **Pan-EU**:\
Assumes that inventory is available in multiple Amazon fulfillment centers across Europe through the Pan-European program.

📦 **EFN**:\
Assumes that inventory is not available in that country and must be shipped internationally via the European Fulfillment Network (EFN).
{% endhint %}
